Soken no Kama Shodan used to be taught as the first kama kata. The original name was Kamajutsu Shodan but was renamed after Hohan Soken whose line it descends from. It is unclear if this is a composition of Hohan Soken, one that Hohan Soken learned or if it is a composition of Fusei Kise. However, Kise no longer teaches this form.
